CLARKSVILLE, TENNESEE - Travel Guide!

Updated: Sep 1, 2023

If you're searching for the perfect fall weekend getaway, you've come to the right place. Clarksville, Tennesee will give you all the warm & fuzzies, while still satisfying the travel bug in you. I am so impressed by this town & can not wait to tell you all my favorites from Where to Stay, What to do & Where to eat!

Where to Stay

Clarksville truly has some of the cutest Airbnb's I have ever seen - and I am an Airbnb host so that's saying a lot! I have linked a few of my favorites below.

Historic Cottage Downtown near the Cumberland - Tap the image to view the listing or click here!

The "Gothic Glam" Townhome - Tap the image to view the listing or click here!

The Downtown Tiny-House - Tap the image to view the listing or click here!

Now that you know where you'll be staying, let's get to the good stuff 😉 What to do and most importantly... What to eat!

What to do

We started our trip with a stroll down the River Walk at McGregor Park - be sure to check out As the River Flows Exhibit to learn about clarksville's interesting River history, if you're into that sort of thing!

Following our stroll we explored the shops in Downtown Clarksville, here are a few of the stores recommended to me by the Visit Clarksville Team:

- Mom & Dad's Music

- City Boy Country Life

- AndVinyl Records

- PupsPlants & Goods

- Hudubam Booktraders

I highly reccomend setting aside sometime to explore park in the area. We visited 4 while there and had so much fun exploring. Everything was so clean & peaceful.

If you enjoy antiquing/ thrifting & some light shopping, these next 3 are for you! Be sure to visit Warehouse41 Vintage Market, Kraft Street Antique Market & Miss Lucille's Marketplace.

What to Eat

Strawberry Alley Ale Works

Our first meal in Clarksville was at Strawberry Alley Ale Works - be sure to make reservations! We sat on the patio and it was fabulous. We started with the Fried Green Tomatoes (omg) then a Veggie Burger and & Veggie Enchiladas for our Entrees!

Madeleine's Place

I am a major breakfast person so I really enjoyed Madeleine's Place. The atmosphere was relaxed yet fun due to the Paris Theme & our food came out quickly. I ordered the Breakfast Sandwich & Daniel ordered a Savory Crepe. It was all delicious!

Here is a link to their Menu

Silke's Old World Breads

We were still quite full from breakfast but we did grab a delicious pastry at Silke's Old World Breads and enjoyed at one of their many outdoor tables. 10/10!

The Mailroom

Holy delicious. We loved our meal at The Mailroom! This is another place I would be sure to make a reservation, they were pretty busy. We enjoyed Aqua Frescas (Cherry Limeade for me and & Honey Peach for Daniel), a quesadilla & Grilled Vegetable Rigatoni!

The Mad Herbalist

If you like a true experience with your meal, The Mad Herbalist is for you. We had the most magical time here and if you could only visit one of these restaurants, I would highly recommend The Mad Herbalist! We enjoyed 2 Tea Flights, a Spread Plate and Fresh Pumpkin Bread with Butter and Honey.

The Coffee Shops in Clarksville take the cake, so I thought they deserved their own section! I'm not saying you should go to all of them... but I am saying, I would go to all of them if I were you... LOL

& that is a wrap on our dreamy fall weekend in Clarksville, Tennesee! If you want to see more from our trip, be sure to watch my Vlog (linked below) premiering October 10th at 7pm EST!

Truthfully,

Charlie
